Observing strict royal protocol can be a daunting task—but Meghan Markle, who is still settling into her new life, can rely on her husband in moments of doubt.

The Duchess of Sussex, 36, joined the rest of the royals on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the first time on Saturday during the Trooping the Colour flypast.

In close-up footage of the event, Meghan appears to discreetly ask Prince Harry, 33, whether it's time to curtsy as Queen Elizabeth arrives.

In the video, Meghan, still smiling and looking ahead, appears to mouth 'Do it?' in direction of her husband, who seems to reply 'Yes' before promptly bowing his head.

The duchess, standing right behind Kate Middleton and next to Harry, then curtsies along with the rest of the royal family as a sign of respect for the 92-year-old monarch.

Protocol dictates that royals must curtsy in front of the queen when they see her for the first time of the day.

Fans of the duchess swooned after a clip of the moment was posted on Instagram, deeming the interaction unbelievably cute.

'Love it! Love them! Get your royal on, Meghan!' one person wrote, while another viewer added: 'So sweet! Meghan is a gorgeous woman!'

Some Instagram users commented to say they 'love' Harry and Meghan together, while several defended Meghan against those who claimed the duchess shouldn't have needed to check if her timing was right before curtsying.

'I suspect she knows she has to get used to it but give her time. She's trying and she's only been at it a few months,' one person wrote.

Someone else commented: 'Makes me so mad when I see people saying she doesn't look like a royal or she's making mistakes. LOL I want to yell at them that she's only been in her role for a few months jeez. Give her time.'

'This is like the sweetest thing ever... a husband and wife moment.... We can probably expect this a lot because it's all new to the duchess,' another person wrote. But she is a pro she will get it sooner than you know it.'

Meghan was seen looking to her husband for reassurance at other times during Saturday's parade. 

According to Mirror Online, a lip-reading expert has claimed that Harry asked his wife if she was OK during a private exchange between the newlyweds, to which she anxiously responded: 'Yeah'.

A short while later, Meghan appeared to admit she was feeling 'nervous' as she made her balcony debut in front of huge crowds who had gathered on The Mall to catch a glimpse of the royals.

In another exchange between the couple, who have just returned from their top secret honeymoon, Harry appears to say: 'Errr. When you get into it I'll tell you more later,' although it is not clear what he is alluding to.

Moments later, referring to the Red Arrows display, the prince adds: 'Then there's the flypast and then we all look up to the sky.' 

It is not the first time a member of the royal family has stepped in to give Meghan a helping hand; at Sandringham on Christmas Day, she was given an impromptu lesson in curtsying to the Queen as she left the church.

The Duchess of Sussex was making her debut on the Buckingham Palace balcony alongside Harry, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Queen celebrating her 92nd birthday, and an assortment of playful young royals.

Fresh from their rumored honeymoon spent in Co. Mayo, Ireland, the newlyweds cut happy and relaxed figures as they paid tribute to Her Majesty at the Trooping the Colour ceremony, at Whitehall's Horse Guard parade.

The Queen, who flashed a wide smile after seeing Charles, Andrew and William, as well as Princess Anne ride horseback past her carriage for the procession, was finally able to ditch her sunglasses following a cataract operation three weeks ago.
