Pregnant Khloe Kardashian dismisses workout critics

Following several weeks of relentless rumours, she confirmed last week that she's six months pregnant with her first child by basketball player beau Tristan Thompson.

But Khloe Kardashian quickly switched from fielding a stream of congratulatory messages to hitting back at critics, after she was slammed online for continuing to work out as she enters her third trimester ofpregnancy.

On Tuesday, the 33-year-old reality star took to her Twitter account, where she shared an article about the benefits of exercising throughout pregnancy, telling her 25.5million followers: 'For the ones who think they are physicians all of a sudden.'

She defiantly continued: 'But MY doctor and I communicate and my workouts are cleared and highly recommended. Thanks kiddos! Don't make me stop sharing s**t.'

In response to her post, the California native received an outpouring of support from fans, with one writing: 'As long as you exercised prior there is no reason to stop it’s healthier for you and baby I had patients who continued to run marathons until 7-8th month go for it and only listen to your dr and your body' [sic]

Khloe called the post 'inspiring', before putting heart emojis under another, which read: 'You’ll have an amazing delivery and recovery thanks to exercise. Ran until 4 days before labor & only stopped bc I had a hernia in my diaphragm lol.' [sic]

A third enthusiastic fan commented: 'You go girl!! So happy for you and your hot man!! You deserve to be a momma!! I see you connection with your nieces and your nephews! You will be a GREAT MOMMA!!' [sic]

She was criticised after she took to Snapchat to share a video of herself working out alongside her big sister Kourtney Kardashian on Tuesday. 

Khloe has undergone quite the physical transformation in recent years, after embarking on a gruelling workout regime and altering her diet, eliminating an array of items - including soda - from her meal plan.

As such, she often shares videos and snapshots of herself working out, and in January of this year began hosting the E! makeover show Revenge Body.

On Wednesday of last week, Khloe confirmed in a touching Instagram post that she was expecting her first child with Canadian sportsman Tristan, 26. 

Alongside a black-and-white snap of her and Tristan's hands around her bare baby bump, she said that having her first child is her 'greatest dream realized' while fans began to speculate about the two wedding-style rings stacked on her left hand.

Khloe wrote: 'My greatest dream realized! We are having a baby! I had been waiting and wondering but God had a plan all along. He knew what He was doing. I simply had to trust in Him and be patient. I still at times can't believe that our love created life!'

Her post received more than one million likes in the first 15 minutes and nearly 4.5million likes in just three hours.

The star then turned her attention to her boyfriend of one year, who already has baby Prince with ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig: 'Tristan, thank you for loving me the way that you do!

'Thank you for treating me like a Queen! Thank you for making me feel beautiful at all stages! Tristan, most of all, Thank you for making me a MOMMY!!!'

Khloe added: 'You have made this experience even more magical than I could have envisioned! I will never forget how wonderful you've been to me during this time! Thank you for making me so happy my love!

She then said: 'Thank you to everyone for the love and positive vibes! I know we've been keeping this quite but we wanted to enjoy this between our family and close friends as long as we could privately. To enjoy our first precious moments just us.

'Thank you all for understanding. I am so thankful, excited, nervous, eager, overjoyed and scared all in one! But it's the best bundle of feelings I've ever felt in my life!' 

Days later, she took to Snapchat to share images of herself posing in a glittering jumpsuit as she attended her mother Kris Jenner's star-studded Christmas Eve bash.

Also present was her 20-year-old half-sister Kylie Jenner, who is rumoured to be due to give birth around the same time as Khloe, although she nor her rapper boyfriend Travis Scott have confirmed reports that they're set to be parents.
