Bella Hadid's fling with Drake is over before it could ever really begin.
The supermodel, 21, and the musician, 31, are said to be 'no longer talking' after he 'basically ghosted her' by ending their brief romance via text message a month after they got together.
The pair began 'casually dating' in October - a year after the Victoria's Secret Angel split from ex The Weeknd, 27 - but things are now believed to have turned sour between Bella and Drake, according to US Weekly.
'Things ended over text when he basically ghosted her,' a source told the publication. 'They are no longer talking.'
While some sources reported the pair were casually dating, other insiders said Bella and Drake were 'just friends'.
It had previously been reported the two had been enjoying a secret romance since 'early June'.
But the fling is said to have caused 'beef' between the Take Care hitmaker and fellow Canadian singer The Weekend who Bella had a long-term relationship with from early 2015 until November 2016.
A source recently told Page Six that Drake 'broke the bro code' by hooking up with Bella, adding: 'The groups are beefing and not getting along right now. They [Bella and Drake] 100 per cent hooked up.'
The Weeknd, real name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, recently split from girlfriend Selena Gomez, 25, after 10 months together.
The musician started dating the pop princess just weeks after his split from Bella, and went public with Selena when they were pictured kissing outside Santa Monica's Giorgio Baldi's restaurant on January 10.
Selena has since reunited with her teen sweetheart, Justin Bieber, 23.
The Weeknd set tongues wagging when he was seen sneaking out of Bella's New York apartment last week.
But on Monday, the Grammy-winning musician enjoyed a dinner date with Katy Perry, 32, at Madeo restaurant in West Hollywood while Bella walked in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in Shanghai, China.
Bella spoke to Teen Vogue in February about her her first heartbreak: 'As an outsider, you might think I handled it so well, but it's always in your heart, and you always feel it very heavily.
'It'll be hard for a while. Love hurts, but you have to pull through.'
Drake has been linked to Rihanna, 29, multiple times in recent years and enjoyed a brief romance with Jennifer Lopez, 48, in early 2017.
