Brother of teacher sacked for ‘joining mile high club with boy’ insists she’s done nothing wrong



The brother of a teacher sacked for having sex with a pupil on a plane has insisted she did nothing wrong.

Eleanor Wilson was struck off after a disciplinary panel heard she got drunk with the boy before going into a plane toilet where she kissed him, performed oral sex then had unprotected sex.



They were on a flight back from a school trip to see the Large Hadron Collider at the time.

The alleged incident came to light when another pupil found out what had happened and insisted that Miss Wilson have sex with him too or he would expose her.

Now her brother has defended her saying it was ‘rubbish’ and that his sister had done ‘nothing wrong’.

Jethro Wilson, from Keighley, Yorkshire, said: ‘I got a phone call this morning about the story and thought where have they got all this other rubbish from?

‘She didn’t get sacked from teaching she left because of all the hassle she was getting from the younger students.



‘When she went on this trip the drinking wasn’t on the plane, she had just had a drink with some of the students older than 18 in a bar in Switzerland.

‘The police have dealt with it and haven’t prosecuted her because she hasn’t done anything wrong. Nothing happened on the plane or anywhere else.’

Jethro said that his sister is in the Royal Navy and is currently backpacking on Dartmoor as part of her training. Her new partner is also in the Royal Navy, he said.



He added: ‘She worked so hard to be a teacher and it’s a shame because she doesn’t want to do it because of what’s happened.

‘She mutually left the school but nothing sexually happened with the student and for it to come out that it was on the plane was a bit bizarre really.

‘A student can easily say one thing that has ruined a teacher’s career.

‘She had a drink in Switzerland and allowed students over 18 to have a drink, that was all and now it’s this big.

‘She has been accused of not turning up to the panel but that’s not true, she had a separate hearing. I want to defend her, at the end of the day she has been humiliated online.



‘It is just young lads being lads really, she has had allegations put against her and it’s all just come out from the panel.

‘She has worked seven years for it and to suddenly out of the blue stop because of lads pestering her because she is a young teacher.

‘When the police investigated it she got leave and could go back but she decided she had had enough. She didn’t get prosecuted and nothing was found against her.



It’s a real shame, they need more good teachers like her, she was the smartest teacher in her school.

‘It’s completely bizarre that they have gone to that length to degrade a young female like that.

‘The panel have only taken it from what the lad has said and they have to protect and make a decision.



‘They should have stuck with the police, they took all her phones, all her messages and if they would have found something on there they would have found it.

‘She had a boyfriend at the time who she was happy with. She has no reason to blow her career like that.’



Avon and Somerset police said: ‘A 28-year-old woman has voluntarily attended at a police station, and enquiries are ongoing.’

A spokesman confirmed there has been no arrest and she had gone to the police station last year.

A spokesman for the school – which is not being identified – yesterday (Thurs) condemned Wilson.

He said: ‘We unreservedly condemn Ms Wilson’s actions. Her conduct represents a shocking abuse of her position of trust as a teacher.
