Former Diversity star Robert Anker dead aged 27 after car accident in Canada



According to his family, the Essex born Diversity member was involved in a fatal car accident in Canada on Thursday July 27, where he lived with his wife Cyndi.

Robert was a founding member of the group created by Ashley Banjo, who went onto win Britain’s Got Talent in 2009.

He also appeared in the West End show Thriller before he moved to Canada to marry his fiancée, with the pair tying the knot in September last year.



Anker also made several appearances on other British TV shows, including The X Factor and Take Me Out, along with starring in music videos for Paloma Faith and Peter Andre.

On his last post on Instagram, Anker wrote: ‘Remember to take time to enjoy the #world. From experience in #travel #business and #dance I’ve loved every minute of it.

‘Setting new bars and new #goals.’



His cousin Rochelle Hanson has set up a JustGiving page for Robert’s family to afford the trip to Canada for their son’s funeral.

On the page, she wrote: ‘The family are devastated.’



‘He was an amazing and talented dancer. We are raising funds for his family to be able to cover all costs for their trip to go and arrange his funeral in Canada.

‘We would love to ensure that his family don’t worry or stress about money at this time.’
