The frock, which clung to the Bronx-born beauty's curvaceous body like a second skin, also featured a thigh-high split.
And she sashayed along in high-heeled pumps, holding hands with her man.
Jennifer is presently filming NBC's Shades Of Blue in New York and she opted to keep on the curly wig she wears as detective Harlee Santos.
Birthday boy Alex, a Fox Sports Commentator and former NY Yankees baseball star, was elegantly dressed for dinner.
He donned a grey suit, crisp white shirt, black tie and high-shine black and brown shoes.
They both smiled and A-Rod waved as they entered the celebrity haunt and they were later seen leaving.
J-Rod, as they are now collectively known, were probably ready for a slap-up dinner as they went for a bike ride in Central Park earlier in the day.
Meanwhile, the loved up pair, who have been dating since at least March, both took to Instagram on Thursday to mark Alex's special day.
