Zayn Malik's cousin has died from a brain tumour at the age of just five.
The former One Direction singer's family have been posting tributes to young Arshiya, who is believed to have passed away in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Her mother Zileh Malik shared a photograph of Arshiya on Instagram, captioning it with the words: 'An angel wrote in the book of life my baby's date of birth, then whispered as she closed the book.. "Too beautiful for earth"'
She added: 'R.I.P baby doll.. #keeparshiyainyourduas'
Zayn's younger sister Waliyha, 18, also posted a tribute, writing: 'Rest is peace you beautiful princess, may Allah grant you the highest rank of Jannah
Arshiya is believed to have been battling a brain tumour for the past few years.
Her cousin Aaroosa Malik wrote back in 2014: 'Doctors have given up on Arshiya but she is still fighting brave like a soldier.
'Can everyone please pray for her and anyone out there with a medical background or any doctor who thinks they can help please get in touch if possible ... They operated on her twice.
She hasn't come round since. They thought she was brain dead but she's not.'
When Arshiya was undergoing surgery, a source said: 'Zayn loves all his family to bits but is really close to Arshiya.'
The singer is yet to comment publicly about Arshiya's tragic passing but fans have rushed to social media to send messages of condolences to the family.
Twitter user @McKennaFJohnson wrote: '#RIPArshiya @zaynmalik we love you and are here for you, forever and always.'
Another fan, posting under @myworldnialler, added: 'So sorry for your loss zayn, your cousin is a beautiful angel now, please stay strong babe @zaynmalik #RIPArshiya'

Sarah Lindsell, CEO of The Brain Tumour Charity, added: 'Our hearts go out to Arshiya Malik's family.
'Their dreadful loss underlines the need for more research and vital funds into brain tumours so that families in the future do not have to face this kind of devastation.'
