Rihanna's new man 'caused feud with Naomi Campbell'

Rihanna's new man 'caused feud with Naomi Campbell'

Their relationship emerged earlier this week, when they were spotted putting on a steamy display in their swimming pool in Ibiza.

But according to new claims, Rihanna's romance with Hassan Jameel is what caused her so-called feud with former pal Naomi Campbell.

The Sun reports that the supermodel, who is thought to have dated the Saudi businessman last year, is disgruntled the singer, 29, and Hassan have fallen so hard - as she hates feeling 'second best'.

The glamorous pair, who used to be close friends, sparked rumours of a feud last year when they unfollowed each other on social media - and it has now been claimed the Toyota dealership heir is the reason behind their anger.

According to the paper, Naomi, 47, is not impressed Hassan has chosen the singer over her - while Rihanna has fallen so hard for him, she is not willing to back down.

A source revealed: 'They're both formidable women. No one knows exactly what went on between Naomi and Hassan but she certainly doesn't like being second best.'

Adding that the Work singer was in too deep to stop the romance, they continued: 'Rihanna is someone that falls hard for someone, and nothing can get in the way.'

Naomi's romance with Hassan never confirmed, but the pair were pictured looking cosy in July last year, when they attended the British Summer Time Festival together in London.

MailOnline has contacted representatives of both Rihanna and Naomi for comment.

Their feud reportedly began in 2015, when New York Post's Page Six claimed Naomi insulted the singer at a nightclub in Paris, resulting in physical fight with model Cara Delevingne.

However, Naomi later denied this on Twitter, and her representatives told MailOnline at the time: 'No fight took place between Naomi Campbell and Cara Delevingne at Paris club Castel.'

Yet, eagle-eyed fans later noticed Naomi and Rihanna had unfollowed each other on both Twitter and Instagram last year.

Only adding fuel to the fire, the Croydon-born star did nothing to quash rumours when asked about their so-called tensions on Watch What Happens Live in March.

A viewer asked host Andy Cohen on the show about the pair:  'No social media pics or communication either, is everything okay between the two of them?'

To which the supermodel replied coolly, without batting an eyelid: 'Everything's fine.'

When neither Andy nor the audience seemed convinced, she broke the silence with: 'Of course it's fine,' adding with a wink, 'I'm an actress now Andy'.

However despite the so-called drama, Rihanna has been looking more loved-up than ever with her new man - after the romance emerged earlier this week.

The pair were first spotted kissing in their swimming pool during a romantic getaway to Ibiza, before they were seen heading out on the island together - with Rihanna carrying a bouquet of flowers in her hands.

Hassan is a Saudi businessman, who is currently the deputy president and vice chairman of family business Abdul Latif Jameel, one of the biggest companies in the world.

The company owns distribution rights for Toyota cars in Saudi Arabia, a deal that has helped the Jameel family amass a fortune estimated at $1.5billion - which Hassan will one day inherit.

It's claimed the pair have been doing their utmost to keep their romance out of the public eye, but that the Love on the Brain hitmaker feels Hassan could be the one.

A source told The Sun: 'This relationship is the real deal. Rihanna has told friends she’s in love with him and seems completely smitten.'

The relationship comes after Rihanna reportedly called it quits with rapper Drake, 30, in October 2016 after an on-off romance.

She was linked to Leonardo DiCaprio and Travis Scott in 2015 and had a brief relationship with baseball star Matt Kemp in 2010.

The songstress split with longtime boyfriend R&B star Chris Brown in 2009 after an argument between the couple escalated to Brown getting violent with Rihanna, leaving her with physical injuries.
