Abby Lee Miller surrenders to prison to begin sentence

Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller has surrendered to FCI Victorville to begin her 366 day prison sentence for bankruptcy fraud charges.

The 50-year-old reality star arrived to prison on Wednesday at twelve o'five PM, which is nearly two hours earlier than her two o'clock PM deadline, according to Entertainment Tonight.

In May, Miller was found guilty of bankruptcy fraud for attempting to hide $775,000 of income from Dance Moms, its spin-off Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition and multiple other projects during Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.

Miller was pictured arriving to the correctional institute in her car

Miller was originally ordered to turn herself in on June 30, but the date was pushed back.

In addition to serving time, Chief Judge Joy Flowers Conti also ordered Abby to pay a $40,000 fine and serve two years probation after her time behind bars.

Lifetime, the cable company behind Miller's reality series Dance Moms, had cameras rolling as the reality star headed inside the institute, adds ET Online.

Cameras are not allowed inside federal prisons, adds the website, but Lifetime's crew captured Miller as much as they could.

Miller previously told ET Online of having Lifetime cameras rolling as she checked herself in: 'It wasn't important to me, it was important to them. I signed a four year contract.'

It is not known what they are filming for, but it is likely Lifetime will doing a TV special like Bravo did when their star Teresa Giudice served a one-year prison sentence for fraud.

Located two hours away from Los Angeles, FCI Victorville has both a low-security prison and medium-security prison on it's premises, according to People.

Miller will be serving her time in the low-security prison, which houses only females, while the medium-security unit houses male inmates.

The low-security prison primarily houses inmates with non-violent crimes.

People reports the facility is actually at overcapacity by 31 inmates.

The institute is designed for 256 inmates, but currently has 287.

The facility also offers recreational activities for inmates including crochet, song writing, yoga, and aerobics.

A commissary is stocked with basic essentials including makeup and snacks.
