Britain's new royal baby unveiled to the world as Kate Middleton leaves hospital after giving birth


KATE MIDDLETON HAS given birth to a baby boy.

The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to the baby at St Mary’s Hospital in Central London at 11.01am this morning.

The baby, which was born weighing 8lb 70z, becomes the fifth in line to the British throne.

Kensington Palace first made the announcement on Twitter and a notice has now been placed outside Buckingham Palace.

The Duchess was admitted to hospital in the early stages of labour this morning before being born a number of hours later.

The royal couple left the hospital with their new baby to be greeted by the world’s media at about 6.00 pm this evening.

This is the third child for the Duke and Duchess, following Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
