Ivanka Trump and Tiffany wear white to inauguration

Ivanka Trump kicked off the morning in a demure navy Carolina Herrera coat before joining her sister Tiffany in suffragette white for their father Donald's inauguration.

Earlier in the day, the 35-year-old donned a simple yet elegant Carolina Herrera navy wool tweed coat over a navy wool flannel high neck dress as she joined her family at St. John's Church on Friday morning before heading to the Capitol and undergoing a quick outfit change.

Ivanka looked radiant in an asymmetrical white coat and matching white pants as she strut through the Capitol before arriving on the platform for the swearing in ceremony.

Ivanka accessorized her coat with an American flag pin at the corner of her lapel, and she styled her long blond hair in loose curls around her shoulder.

Unlike her older sister, Tiffany opted to wear the same double-breasted jacket she wore to the church to her father's swearing in ceremony.

Although Ivanka converted to Judaism when she married her husband Jared Kushner in 2009, the two were first photographed on Friday morning walking into the Episcopalian church as a show of support for the President-elect.

Ivanka and Jared were flanked by Secret Service detail as they followed her family, walking side by side. Jared matched his wife with a similar wool coat, which he wore over his gray suit.

The businesswoman left her long blond hair down around her shoulders, and it appeared that they left their three children, Arabella, Joseph, and Theodore, with their nanny for the morning event.

Although Ivanka and Jared are both Orthodox Jews, The Jerusalem Post reports that the couple has received rabbinic permission to travel by car on Friday evening following the inauguration.

Jewish law states that driving or riding in cars is prohibited on the Sabbath; however, the Hebrew principle pikuach nefesh, or protection of life, overrides the rule in life-threatening situations.

According to the outlet, Mark Zell, chair of the Republican Party in Israel, stated during an interview with Kol Barama radio that the couple has been granted special permission by a rabbi to use a vehicle because of 'safety' concerns.

Ivanka's half-sister Tiffany, Trump's only child with Marla Maples, was photographed walking into the church with her Democrat boyfriend Ross Mechanic.

Unlike her older sister, the 23-year-old opted for a bright white, double-breasted coat for the first event of the day.

Ivanka and Tiffany's brother Donald Jr. and his wife Vanessa walked into the church with their two oldest children, Kai and Donald Trump III, while their brother Eric was accompanied by his wife Lara.

After the church service, the family headed to Capitol Hill together.

Vanessa donned a vibrant maroon coat, while Lara opted for a lavender number featuring black buttons and black piping around the sleeves.

The day before, the family had arrived at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland on Trump's private plane before heading into the nation's capital.

Trump's children were there to support him during his luncheon for GOP lawmakers before watching him and Vice President-elect Mike Pence lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington Cemetery.

Later that night, they enjoyed a black tie pre-inauguration dinner Washington D.C.'s Union Station.
