Twitter erupts over Michelle Obama's facial reactions



People thought former president Barack Obama and vice president Joe Biden had some of the best memes, but Michelle Obama has clearly been crowned the winner.

The former first lady's facial expressions during President Donald Trump's inauguration speech sent Twitter into a frenzy.

At the start of Friday's events, the Obamas were all smiles as they kicked off the day by welcoming the incoming first family to the White House for tea.

But it appeared that Mrs Obama's smiles quickly turned upside down during an awkward gift exchange with First Lady Melania, some Twitter users pointed out.

'Michelle Obama's side-eye game was the real winner of this #Inauguration,' one user tweeted with a photo of Mrs Obama and Hillary Clinton together.

Another user implied that Mrs Obama's facial expressions represented how most of America is feeling now that Trump has become the 45th President of the United States.



'Michelle Obama is literally all of us today,' the user tweeted.

As cameras panned to Mrs Obama during Trump's speech at the US Capitol, Twitter users couldn't help but erupt with hilarious reactions.

'Today Americans learned that Michelle Obama does not posses a poker face,' one user tweeted.



'Just watched Trump's inauguration properly...Michelle Obama's face said it all really'

Soccer star Hope Solo even joined in on the jokes when she shared a photo of Mrs Obama and Hillary Clinton with the caption: 'I love women who keep it real.'

And another user made a jab at First Lady Melania giving Mrs Obama a gift upon their arrival to the White House Friday morning.

'Melania Trump giving Michelle Obama her speech back this morning,' the user tweeted, referring to the incident last year when Mrs Trump plagiarized Mrs Obama's speech.



And the jokes didn't stop there as some users said the former first lady was throwing some major 'shade'.

'Michelle's face held all the shade,' the user tweeted.

'From now on whenever I have to spend time With someone I don't like I will think of Michelle's stoic face as she stood next to Melania,' another wrote on Twitter.

Another user wrote: 'Any of y'all peep Michelle's face she ain't rocking she look like she wanna pop off.'

'I know I don't like them either Michelle but you gotta fix your face,' a user tweeted.

When Trump's speech ended, the Obamas shook hands with the new first family, despite her facial expressions.
