Mini-Trumps! Trump signs his cabinet nominations with grandchildren



Donald Trump's grandchildren stole the show as they stood by their grandfather throughout Friday's inauguration festivities.

Donald Jr and Vanessa Trump's children, Chloe, 2, Donald III, 7, Spencer, 4, Kai, 9, and Tristan, 5 surrounded Trump in the President's Room at the US Capitol. They watched as he signed his first executive orders - and Tristan flashed smiles at the camera before turning away.

Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner stood by the new president with their children, Arabella, five, Joseph, three, and nine-month-old Theodore. Trump's youngest son, Barron, aged 10, was even seen playing peek-a-boo with his nephew Theodore inside the US Capitol.





The grandchildren stayed involved in the day's celebrations as they later marched with their family in the inaugural parade that took them from the Capitol to the White House.



Donald Trump formally signed for his cabinet picks with a set of multiple pens at his desk as part of a presidential tradition.

According to TIME, signing executive documents and legislation with different pens date back as far as Franklin Roosevelt's presidency.

In 2010, Barack Obama used 22 pens to sign the Affordable Care Act.



During the ceremonial signing, Nancy Pelosi received the pen the President used to nominate Tom Price.

But his cute grandchildren weren't able to keep their hands off them either.

Barron arrived at the US Capitol early Friday morning to prepare for his father's inauguration, a day after missing out on pre-inauguration festivities.

First Lady Melania was seen making sure her son's tie was perfect before Trump gave his inaugural address.
