Grammys Coco Austin channels Liz Hurley safety pin dress

They command attention as a stylish couple at every red carpet event they attend.

And Ice-T and Coco Austin proved on trend as they arrived at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards taking place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Sunday.

The rapper, 59, cut a dapper figure in a black overcoat as his model wife, 38, rocked a number reminiscent of Liz Hurley's safety pin Versace gown worn in 1994.

It was designed by the late Gianni Versace and Liz wore it to the premiere of the film Four Weddings And A Funeral with Hugh Grant.

Lady Gaga gave it a shot too as she wore it for famous photographer Terry Richardson in Milan in 2012.

Meanwhile, the Law & Order actor rocked a black button down shirt tucked into a pair of navy pants.

He completed the classic look with a pair of navy blue velvet loafers and a black overcoat featuring gold buttons.

Coco showcased her fabulous figure in a skintight black dress with cut outs along her curves.

Her toned and tanned arms were highlighted as the gown had one shoulder and plunged low to the side.

Her trademark blonde tresses were pulled to the side in a curly ponytail as it cascaded over her shoulders.

Ice-T had a quick wardrobe change as he performed at the show  wearing a black hoodie and baseball cap. 

This is the first time music's biggest night has been in the Big Apple since 2003 as it has been at Staples Center in Los Angeles for over a decade straight. 

It is shaping up to be quite the event as Jay Z leads artists with a whopping eight nominations.

Among the 48-year-old rap mogul's nods were the top three honors including album, song, and record of the year.

Bruno Mars is also up for those three awards with a total of six nominations.

Kendrick Lamar also has seven nominations including record, album, and rap album of the year.

Multihyphenate Donald Glover earned five nominations under his musical artist alias Childish Gambino as he is in contention for record, album, and urban contemporary album of the year.

Jay Z, Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, and Childish Gambino will all be competing against each other and Lorde in the sought after Album Of The Year category.

The foursome will be competing a lot as Record Of The Year nominees include Jay Z's The Story Of OJ, Mars' 24K Magic, Lamar's Humble, and Gambino's  Redbone as they will be up against the year's biggest hit Despacito by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber.
