Mark Salling dead Glee star's body recovered after suspected suicide

The Glee actor was found dead in a riverbed in the Shadow Hills in California near his home.

According to sources at the scene, a police officer went to investigate after spotting the actor's car parked by the road in the early hours of the morning.

TMZ report the troubled star took his own life.

Shortly after midday on Tuesday January 30, medics were photographed on the scene removing his body via a stretcher.

Mark was awaiting sentencing for the possession of child pornogrpahy which was scheduled to take place in March this year.

Speaking via Twitter, one follower of the case wrote: "Please remember that suicide, in whatever circumstance is tragic and devastating."

"I hope Mark Salling rests in peace because he obviously wasn't living in peace," one social media user tweeted.

"There were going to be no winners... A tragic end to a tragic case," another Twitter user wrote.

The 35-year-old's home was raided in December 2015 after police were tipped off about child porn – allegedly by his ex girlfriend.

During the police raid Mark's personal laptop was taken and searched.

After initially pleading not guilty, the fallen star changed his plea to guilty after reportedly reaching a deal with the authorities.

While charges carry up to 20-years in prison US media claimed prosecutors had settled on "four to seven years, with 20 years of supervised release".

Mark was also understood to have agreed to pay £38,000 in damages to each of the children in the indecent pictures.
