Suspect in car crash which killed three hands himself in

A man arrested at the scene of a fatal car crash which killed three teenagers in Hayes, West London, has been charged by police. 

Jaynesh Chudasama, 28, from Hayes, has been charged with three counts of causing death by dangerous driving. He is scheduled to appear in front of Uxbridge Magistrates Court on Monday, January 29. 

It comes after a 34-year-old suspect voluntarily handed himself into a north London police station shortly after 7pm on Sunday. He has now been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been taken into custody for further questioning.

Police had released a picture of a suspect who fled the crash scene where three teenagers were killed by an 'out of control' Audi driver.  

While formal identification is yet to take police, police are confident that George Toby Wilkinson, 16, Harry Louis Rice, 16, and Josh McGuinness, 17, were killed in the tragic incident.

The trio had been waiting at a bus stop with a group of friends in Hayes when they were killed on Friday night. They were on their way to a birthday party at a nearby football club.  

George's grandfather Nigel Goodhand, went to the scene on Sunday.

He said: 'I'm really cut up. It hurts. George's mother has lost the plot. I wasn't going to stop here, but I had to in the end.

'I'm upset, but I'm pleased I've seen him. He will be sorely missed.'     

The 28-year-old suspect was being questioned at a north London police station on Saturday night. 

A Metropolitan Police statement said: 'A man sought by police in connection with a fail to stop road traffic collision in Hayes that resulted in the death of three young men has handed himself in at a police station.

'The 34-year-old man voluntarily attended a north London police station shortly after 7pm on Sunday, 28 January.

'He has now been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and taken into custody for questioning.'

Shortly after releasing CCTV images of the second man wanted in connection with the incident, detective Sergeant Michael Rapp of the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: 'While the images are not of good quality, I am convinced that anyone who knows this male will recognise him. I urge anyone who can identify him or provide details of his whereabouts to contact my team without delay.

'Three young men have lost their lives as a result of this incident; such tragic circumstances must far outweigh any taboo around assisting police.' 

The two men jumped from the black Audi A5 and ran but one was caught at a nearby Esso petrol station. 

Schools administrator Jake Webb, 18, saw two white youths attacking an Asian man on the side of the road near the scene as he was driving towards Hayes.

He said the Asian man seemed heavily intoxicated, adding: 'We saw two white boys and they were attacking an Asian man. They were just kicking and punching him.'

He and his friend, Amamdeep Matharoo, 27, were so concerned about the assault they pulled over.

Mr Webb said: 'I said 'can you stop that, we're going to call 999'.

'They said 'please call the police. He's hit our friends with his car'. That's when we realised what was going on.' 

Mr Matharoo added: 'The lads were shouting on the phone. They were saying 'three of our friends are dead'. They were hysterical and in pieces.' 

Detectives have not ruled out the possibility of more passengers in the black Audi. 

Relatives and friends have visited the scene to pay their respects and tie flowers to the railings.

One card read: 'My darling baby boi, my heart is broken. Love always Mum and Vinnie.' 

Harry's heartbroken mother Nicola Sales posted a montage of pictures of him on Facebook.

Friend Liz Irvine commented: 'We are all in shock at this devastating news. Send our love to you all.'  

Harry had signed with semi-pro football club Farnborough Town FC following a successful trial but left the club a few weeks ago, according to reports.

Academy manager Marc Wardley told Sky News the teenager was a 'quiet and a really nice lad who got on with things, and who could have gone on to play at a decent level'.   

George's mother Sarah Baker posted a picture of herself with him - and the words: 'My baby boy 16 years old xx' 

Danielle Chambers replied: 'I am beyond sorry for you. I hope you can find a way to get through this devastation.'

Aron Blackwell, George's brother, said: 'I don't have any words. I just miss him, just waiting for him to knock on the door.' 

In a tribute online the 30-year-old added: 'Love you George, you will always be in my heart as the annoying little brother.'

A devastated friend said: 'It's all a blur. Five of us were walking to the party and the next moment three of my friends were dead on the ground. The car lost control.' 

H
