Topless Kim Kardashian wears braids to mimic Bo Derek

When Kim Kardashian took to the sand to recreate Bo Derek's iconic perfect 10 beach scene, she wasn't taking any chances.

The mother-of-three - who has previously been left disappointed by unflattering bikini shots - employed a full team to primp and groom her body into looking its very best on the Malibu beach. 

The 37-year-old wore a bikini and had her hair in braids as she took inspiration from Bo's memorable look from the iconic 1979 comedy 10.

As she stood on the shore, assistants buzzed around, primping and dressing an amiable Kim.

One hard-working make-up assistant was tasking with the job of making sure Kim's famously shapely rear looked in perfect condition. 

Bending down, he got hands on as he carefully spritzed and rubbed make-up into her behind, as Kim waited patiently.

A female dresser was tasked with making sure Kim's bikini looked just right, carefully rearranging the two-piece as Kim went topless for some shots.

A photographer waited as the final touches were made, before getting Kim into position for her shoot.

And watching the whole scene unfold was a videographer, presumably filming for Kim's family show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

While the work that goes into getting the perfect Instagram shot may seem like overkill, Kim's attention to detail is understandable.

The 37-year-old has previously been disappointed in photos taken of her while at the beach - even going so far as to suggest that a set of images taken this time last year may have been Photoshopped, which the photographer furiously denied.

But by enlisting her team of professionals to prep her, Kim can ensure that she is looking her best.

That attention to detail was reflected in her choice of outfit for the shoot.

While Bo wore a skimpy gold string bikini for 10, Kim wore a more modern white version for her shoot, although she followed the original when it came to her hair. 

Kim revealed her silver corn rows on Sunday in a Snapchat post - causing a stir amongst fans.

Some were annoyed that she called them her 'Bo Derek braids', branding her 'disrespectful' and accusing of her cultural appropriation. 

One fan responded by writing: 'I’m still a bit peeved on how @KimKardashian had the audacity to call these braids “Bo Derrick” braids' (sic)

While another added: 'Kim Kardashian on snap talking about some Bo Derek braids. Kim they are called CORN ROWS.' 

Yet, a number of other followers rushed to defend her, and claimed fans were making a big deal out of a playful post.

One wrote: 'What’s the problem with Kim Kardashian having braids? Stop making nothing into something.'

While others chimed in: 'I actually like Kim’s braids lol' and 'You look so good with braids!!!! Haters gonna hate.' 

Kim responded by saying she 'gave zero f****' and her sister Khloe soon took to social media by saying she was impressed by her older sibling's 'confidence.'

The Selfish author also took to Instagram to share several images with the braids. One saw her opening her fur coat to reveal a bare breast and a tiny pair of undies as she looked down.

Two other shots showed her in a see-through white button-down top that was even more sheer when made wet; Kim had on heavy eye makeup and seemed to love the shoot. 

Then the TV diva leaned down on her bed to take photos of her Polaroids from her beach shoot. In doing so the sister of Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie gave fans a good look at her sunburned bottom as she wore a G-string. 

Kim welcomed baby number three earlier this month but since she used a gestational carrier, she doesn't have to worry about losing any pregnancy weight.

She and Kanye welcomed daughter Chicago via surrogate, due to issues Kim had suffered during her pregnancies with daughter North, four, and son Saint, two.
