Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton don VERY similar blue suede heels

They are not yet sisters-in-law, but the Duchess of Cambridge and Meghan Markle are already falling into step with each other when it comes to their style choices. 

Kate and Meghan, both 36, were spotted wearing very similar blue suede shoes as they joined Prince William, 35, and Prince Harry, 33, and other senior royals for the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey on Monday.

Kate, who is pregnant with her third child, sported a favourite pair of £425 heeled pumps by Rupert Sanderson, while Meghan chose a £450 style by Manolo Blahnik.

The styles are remarkably alike, with both featuring a 4in heel and elegant pointed toe. 

However Meghan's shoes feature a slightly more slender heel and there is smallest variation in the shades of navy suede. 

Kate has worn her 'Malory' pumps on at least 10 different occasions over the last two years, including to a dinner with the Obamas at Kensington Palace in 2016. 

Meanwhile Meghan, who will tie the knot with Prince Harry at Windsor Castle in May, chose a pair of 'BB pumps' by Manolo Blahnik, one of her favourite designers. 

It is the second time in a week that she has worn this style of shoe, opting for the black suede version when she joined Prince Harry on an engagement in Birmingham last week.

Meghan and Kate, who also complemented each other in cream and navy outfits, joined the Queen and other senior royals for the event in London. 

It comes as the sisters-in-law to be both opted to wear blue for their first official appearance together at the Royal Foundation Forum last month.

Celebrity stylist Rochelle White suggested that the pair already seem to be planning their outfits around each other.

She told FEMAIL at the time: 'I think it is lovely to see how they seem to simply complement each other in their fashion choices. 

'It seems that they carefully plan their outfits around each other.

'I feel they are very aware that all eyes are on them, so they take turns to have a stand out moment.
