Will Simon Cowell stand by troubled Ant McPartlin

Simon Cowell is among a number of showbiz allies remaining silent in the face of colleague Ant McPartlin's drink-drive arrest scandal. 

The X Factor mogul, 58, who is the brains behind Ant and Dec-fronted Britain's Got Talent, has sparked questions over his position in the face of the drama. 

Ant, 42, was seen for the first time on Tuesday since his drink drive arrest as he was arriving at Kingston Police station with what appeared to be his legal team

Simon has been filming in the US for America’s Got Talent so has been away from the ongoing drama surrounding the embattled TV favourite.   

The TV and music mogul has remained silent in the face of the news and not shown his stance for his pal.

Saturday Night Takeaway sponsors Suzuki have so far publicly stuck by Ant and remain in dialogue with ITV. 

The £20million deal with the car giant sees Ant and Dec front adverts where they give cars to the public.

Ant has been receiving treatment for alcohol addiction and is in lockdown at his £1.6million pad in Richmond, south west London. 

The star is living with his mum Christine, who was also in the car crash on Sunday afternoon. 

It also emerged the presenter's £26,000 black Mini was searched by police for drugs after he was involved in a crash with two other cars and injured a three-year-old girl.

None were found but he failed a breathalyser test. Whilst he has been receiving treatment at home, it is believed he will seek professional help at a long-term retreat and possibly abroad. 

Friends have said Ant’s upcoming £60million divorce from wife Lisa Armstrong was a major factor in his falling off the wagon.
