Meghan Markle's Suits character struggles with wedding plans

Planning a wedding is stressful for any bride-to-be and it seems even Meghan Markle is not immune to pre-marital woes.

However, it isn't her wedding to Prince Harry, 33, that is causing her grief but her on-screen romance on TV drama Suits that isn't going to plan.

The seventh series of the hit US drama sees is a case of life as Meghan's character Rachel Zane prepare to marry her co-star Mike Ross, played by Patrick J Adams.

The series returns to Netflix on Thursday sees the bride-to-be struggle with vow writing and contend with a fiance suffering from cold feet.

The Mirror reports that in one episode Rachel seeks advice from a pastor for her wedding vows

She says: 'Father Walker says it's important for each of us to write down what we want as a couple and where we see our lives going.'

While it is likely that Harry and Meghan, 36, will stick to traditional vows when they marry at St George's Chapel on May 19, the bride-to-be is thought to be working on a speech for the reception at Frogmore House. 

But while the run-up to the royal wedding appears to be going without a hitch, Meghan's character isn't so lucky.

The latest trailer for the show suggests that the wedding of Rachel and Mike is in turmoil.     

In one clip Rachel says: 'Why don't we make time for what's important? The wedding. It's going to be here before we know it and we haven't done anything we need to.'

While in another the fictional groom-to-be says: 'I don't know what I want!'.

However, the show's producers are adamant that there will be a happy ending for the couple with showrunner Aaron Korsh previously stating there is 'no doubt that we are going to honour the relationship of Mike and Rachel before we send them off.'

Meghan filmed her seventh and final season of the popular TV show before she quit acting to marry Harry, 33.  

Ms Markle was given her big break when she was cast in the USA Network show as feisty paralegal Rachel Zane in 2011. 

The show followed Rachel as she fell in love with Mike Ross and supported him through career breakdowns and time in prison, while continuing to pursue her dreams of becoming a fully-fledged lawyer.

It emerged Ms Markle, who will marry Prince Harry on May 19 in Windsor, would not return to the show for the eighth season shortly before her engagement was announced in November last year.

It was announced last year that Adams will also be leaving the show at the end of season seven to pursue other projects.

Season seven will premiere on UK Netflix on March 29. Production for season eight will begin in Toronto in April and will air later this year.

Last month Suits creators revealed former Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl would be joining the show for the eighth season.
