Caitlyn Jenner confirmed she underwent gender reassignment surgery in a recent interview.

The 67-year-old was seen for the first time since the 20/20 interview aired as she touched down in Newark airport in New Jersey on Sunday.

Caitlyn looked casual as she prepared to embark on another leg of the promotional tour for her new book The Secrets Of My Life.



The transgender reality star, who won fame as an Olympian in the 1970s, wore dark sunglasses and a loose-fitting top with skinny trousers.

The I Am Cait star sported booties as she strolled leisurely through the airport.

It was just this past Friday, during her interview with Diane Sawyer, that she confirmed she has undergone gender reassignment surgery.  



The 67-year-old had written about the subject in her upcoming memoir, The Secrets Of My Life, and explained to Diane why she decided to include the subject in her tell-all.

'This book is about honesty,' she said in their 20/20 interview which aired Friday. 'But, that doesn't mean in the future that I have to talk about it, that I'm going to dwell. The media may, but I am not going to dwell on that subject.'

'I would make a suggestion to all people out there: don't ask the question. It's not an appropriate question to ask any trans person.'



Caitlyn confirmed the surgery after recently released excerpts from her memoir made the revelation.

The star underwent the surgery in January 2017, nearly two years after announcing she would transition to a woman.

In her book, due April 25, Caitlyn wrote: 'The surgery was a success, and I feel not only wonderful but liberated.'



She also wrote on the subject: 'You want to know, so now you know. Which is why this is the first time, and the last time, I will ever speak of it.'

Speaking with Diane, Caitlyn insisted:  'I wasn't less of a woman the day before I had the surgery than I was the day after I had the surgery, because that did not define who I am as a human being.'

'It's about what's between your ears and who you are as a person, it's your soul, okay?' she told Diane.



In her book, Caitlyn said she is done having sex with woman following her transition, but is not counting out sex with a man.

'Of the most important things in my life, sex is beyond the bottom; it has been that way for a long time' reveals Caitlyn according to Radar Online.

'A future female companion? Yes, I do think about that. A future female sex companion? Not happening, at least for now, and perhaps not ever.
