Pregnant Serena Williams lounges in swimwear on babymoon



She delightedly announced her pregnancy with fiancé Alexis Ohanian last week.

And Serena Williams seems to be settling joyously into life as an expectant mother as she jetted away on a babymoon to Mexico, in which she was seen soaking up the sun while gazing adoringly at the Reddit founder on Friday.

The 35-year-old tennis ace looked totally chilled out as she luxuriated beneath an umbrella while chatting to her partner and sporting a stylish pastel one-piece.



Serena took to Snapchat last week to confirm she is 20 weeks pregnant, as she made the announcement via a selfie in which she turned to the side while cradling her bump in a tight yellow swimsuit.

During her chilled out break, she looked sensational in yet another one-piece as she wore a pink and purple bikini top with a saucy caged detail along her cleavage.



She paired the look with tiny blue bottoms which helped show off her famous derriere - the result of her many hours on the court and in the gym.

As the couple reclined while surrounded by pals, they appeared laid-back and chilled out with Alexis sipping a beer while Serena indulged in a treat.



Gazing into his eyes, she seemed engrossed in the conversation in which they were undoubtedly reflecting on life as parents.

Clearly in the mood to document her trip, Serena posted an image of herself looking out at the seas as she visited the Mayan Ruins in Tulum.

But what is most telling is the caption that read: 'With great power comes great responsibility.' Williams was likely referring to how her life will be changing now that she is set to welcome her first child.

Her rep confirmed to The New York Times the star would take the rest of 2017 off from tennis but return to the circuit in 2018, when she is 36 years old.



'Serena said that I should make sure if anyone asks that that is clear,' said her spokesperson.

She is one of the most recognized female athletes in the world: The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) has ranked her world No. 1 in singles on seven occasions, from 2002 to 2017.

The Florida resident also holds the most major titles in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles combined among active players. The tennis ace is very wealth, too: according to Forbes, she is worth $150m.
