She's caused many a stir this week by spinning various yarns about her mothering techniques.

And the latest anecdote from Katie Price has involved an unfortunate incident at an airport featuring her 9-year-old daughter Princess.

The Loose Women star, 38, recounted that she was faced with a slight dilemma en route to the Maldives for a family holiday when it turned out Princess' passport had expired - rendering her unable to fly.



Appearing on Friday's Loose Women, she explained that she ultimately decided to leave Princess behind, and board the plane with the other five members of her family.

'The guy behind the [airport] counter asked, "Which one is Princess, she can’t fly!" I told them we’ve all got to fly together, but they said she won’t be allowed to.'



Katie went on to elaborate that Princess' passport was due to expire in five months, a month shy of the time limit for international travel.

'Do I stay behind? Do we not go? Or do I go?' Katie said, explaining what was running through her mind at the time.



Katie tried to re-book the entire family of seven - her husband Kieran and her other children Harvey, Junior, Bunny and Jett - on to another flight while they sorted out the situation, but no flights were available for another week.

'There were no other flights the rest of the week where we could get seven seats so I had to leave her with a family member,' Katie admitted, revealing she boarded the plane anyway. 'She got on another plane with another airline the next day and it was fine.'

The mum-of-five said she had Final Destination-like pangs of worry after she made the decision.

'It was like Final Destination – what if I get on the plane and something happens, or I stayed and something happens to the family?' she said, referring to the horror franchise which sees people killed in horrifying freak accidents.

Adding to the unconventional way in which she's opting to raise her children, Katie said that the openness with which her children enjoy their bodily functions has left little Bunny a tad confused about her genitalia.

'They think it's funny to watch each other have a poo,' added Katie. 'But Bunny hasn't got a willy. So she stands there as if she's got a willy and gets her trousers wet.'

Her round of revelations prompted fellow panellist Andrea McLean to joke that Katie is 'feral' - igniting laughter among the team of co-hosts, including Linda Robson and Kaye Adams.



Katie continued: 'When you have five children, you learn that even when you tell them not to touch something in the house they'll still go and touch it anyway...

'Now you could say that I'm feral. I live on a farm, so my kids will go out with one boot on, or in their pants. One of them fell into stinging nettles and came in crying.

'I told him not to go near them again, and what did he do? he went straight back! Obviously stuff like bleach and that I put that away, but the other stuff is fine.'

The thrice wed TV personality then joked that she relies on the soft furnishings in her home to steer her offspring away from bruises and broken bones, rather than take extra safety measures in her West Sussex home.



She said: 'I don't need stair gates because, I've got really thick, fluffy carpets, so they just bounce on them [when they fall over]...'

And even her celebrity pals have been affected by her easygoing nature at home, with Katie explaining: 'Michelle Heaton came to mine and she's quite a health freak. She lets her kids have like a lolly a week. When they came to mine they'd had four within minutes, because my kids have got a whole drawer of them!'

Katie was embroiled in controversy on Instagram on Thursday after posting a sweet photo of her two youngest children.

The doting mum of five shared a snap of Jett and Bunny enjoying 'breakfast time', but some of her followers soon took issue with the fact the children had bottles of juice in front of them.



While many fans gushed over how cute her children with husband Kieran Hayler are, some commenters were quick to criticise the mum for serving juice in a bottle instead of a cup, as guidelines state it could damage children's teeth.

'Juice in a bottle!!! Don't u care about their teeth xx,' one comment read, while another asked: 'surely they should be drinking from a cup by now.'

'Should they not be drinking from cups ????' questioned another.
