PIPPA MIDDLETON AND JAMES MATTHEWS HONEYMOON IN SYDNEY



After spending time island hopping in French Polynesia, Pippa Middleton and James Matthews have taken the second leg of their honeymoon Down Under.

The glowing newlyweds, who set off on their honeymoon after their May 20 wedding, were captured on camera boarding a water taxi on Sydney Harbour on Wednesday morning before jetting via seaplane to an exclusive riverside restaurant.

In the photographs, a grinning Pippa, 33, looks effortlessly elegant in a chic black blazer, a stunning AUD $798 (£464) Kate Spade dress and black espadrilles believed to be by Spanish label, Castaner.

Her proud husband, 41, walked beside her in a smart blue jumper, a pink shirt, simple black shoes and casual blue jeans as they prepared for a day of fun in the sun.



A man who was walking towards Circular Quay and recognised the newlyweds on Wednesday morning told Daily Mail Australia Pippa was 'very happy and smiley' as she stepped on to the water taxi.

'She and the husband waited back a bit, they let a couple they were with who had a baby get on the boat first, then they walked over separately,' the man said.

'They seemed very happy... that's my closest encounter with royalty.'



Pippa, James and their two friends all came out of the luxury Park Hyatt hotel and walked towards the waiting water taxi, which then took off towards the Opera House.

Steven Beale, from Sydney, said he spotted the couple near the Harbour Bridge on Wednesday morning as he was walking to work.

'I walked past her at the foot of the Harbour Bridge with her husband and, I think, a personal trainer,' he said.

Pippa and James were also spotted jogging earlier on Wednesday through Sydney's historic Botanical Gardens.

After their trip on the water taxi, the couple boarded a seaplane at Rose Bay and flew to the Cottage Point Inn, an exclusive riverside restaurant on the Hawkesbury River in Sydney's north.

There, they sat down for a relaxed three hour lunch with their pals and later took the 20 minute flight back to Rose Bay.



The group enjoyed the $140 per person degustation, with the seven course menu including roasted squid, wild kingfish and Wagyu beef.

Staff from the seaplane company told Daily Mail Australia that the high profile duo had booked under a different name; the pilot had no clue they were coming.

They then battled the breezy weather and boarded another seaplane to head back.

Upon landing, the water taxi took Pippa and James from the sea plane to Woolloomooloo where a waiting car picked them up and drove them back to the Park Hyatt hotel.

The stunning waterfront hotel offers the pair uninterrupted views of Sydney's Vivid Festival and the idyllic harbour.

They are believed to be staying in the two-bedroom Opera suite which costs $11,500 per night, or the Sydney Suite which costs a staggering $19,000 a night.

The unrivalled Sydney suite, home to the most discerning of guests, is the largest suite offered across Sydney's central.

The suite boasts a private outdoor terrace with near 360 degree panoramic views of the Sydney Harbour, Opera House and Bridge.



The master bathroom features a spa bath, sauna and steam room, while the living are is designed around a central gas fireplace.

The suite boasts six separate private balconies, offering different views to the beautiful harbourfront.

At no point has Sydney been mentioned as a honeymoon destination for the pair - the news leaving their Australian fans thrilled.



Instead, the couple were expected to be heading to James' family's 10,000 acre estate in the Scottish Highlands.

The pair's arrival comes just days before Prince Harry is expected to touch down, who will arrive in Sydney in 'early June' to attend events to celebrate Sydney's hosting of the 2018 Invictus Games.

James and Pippa kicked off their honeymoon on an exclusive Pacific island- reportedly an island once owned by Hollywood star Marlon Brando after travelling via Los Angeles where they were spotted in an airport terminal.



Their destination was Tetiaroa, a tiny paradise atoll thousands of miles south of Hawaii which was once a summer residence for the chiefs and kings of Tahiti.
