She expressed her excitement over opening the 'fight of the generation.'

And on Saturday night in Las Vegas, Demi Lovato set the tone for the face off between Connor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather with a stunning rendition of the National Anthem.

The Sorry Not Sorry singer beamed as she made her way to the center of the boxing ring in a low cut white cape dress.



Demi, who celebrated her 25th birthday last week, told Entertainment Tonight about her excitement for the match prior to the announcement she'd be singing at the event.

That's all I've been looking forward to doing… ever since the fight was announced, I was like, I'm going to that fight. It's gonna be amazing and I can't wait to see who wins.'

Her celebrity fans were quick to  take to Twitter to give the singer rave reviews for her powerhouse vocals.



Demi's close friend and ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas tweeted: 'Way to go @ddlovato.'

Joe's brother Nick simply wrote: 'DEMI!! #MayweatherMcGregor'

 Twilight star Ashley Greene even joked that Lovato stole the show: 'Wow! This @ddlovato concert is amazing! #MayweaterMcGregor'.



Lovato has been keeping busy promoting her upcoming album Tell Me You Love Me which releases on September 29.

Despite a packed performance schedule, she was sure to keep her calendar open so she could attend the fight, which Floyd Mayweather won in the tenth round.

She will perform at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.
