Reese Witherspoon brings daughter Ava to Home Again



She recently confessed that they look so much alike that even her youngest son Tennessee gets them confused.

And on the red carpet Tuesday, Reese Witherspoon proved that she and daughter Ava, 17, really are doppelgangers for each other.

The actress, 41, brought her lookalike daughter along as her date for the premiere of her latest film Home Again.



The blondes strut their stuff on the red carpet, Reese in a stunning, figure-hugging red dress with black trim around it's straps.

She paired the sizzling garment with a pair of black high heels which boosted her lengthy legs to perfection.



Her eldest child, from her marriage to ex Ryan Phillippe, looked to be taking a page from her mom's fashion book, rocking a black and white dress that was very similar to one Reese wore to the New York screening of her latest film.

In Southern Living magazine, Reese revealed of her four-year-old son: 'Ava is like another parent to Tennessee, like his other mother. I think sometimes he even gets confused - he told Ava 'Happy Mother’s Day!''

However in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ava's father laughed at the constant comparisons, saying to reporter Katie Krause: 'I always find that such a weird thing, like, [Ava] looks exactly like her mother, who else is she going to look like? It's an odd thing that people fixate on that...

'She's my best friend and we do everything together, it's going to be hard for her to leave! But I have another year.  I alternate between crying and feeling really proud of the woman she's become.



'It's so weird. I can't believe she's [going to be] 18. She's great, and we did it together. I feel like we grew up together, it's great.'

Tennessee is Reese's youngest son, his father is her husband Jim Toth. She also has 13-year-old Deacon with Phillippe. 

And the Hollywood star has admitted working with director Hallie Meyers-Shyer and her mother Nancy Meyers was "really fun".

She explained: 'They were a great team. I've never worked with a mother-daughter team before, so this was really a first for me and it was really fun and nice to see those family dynamics.

'[They're] such a nice family. They've come up in this business together and it's nice to see them [working together].'

Earlier on Tuesday, Reese was photographed wearing a blue Texas pin on her shirt as a show of support for the victims of the floods in Houston.

The actress posted a picture of the button on Snapchat, writing: 'Texas on my mind & on my heart today.'

She also urged her 1.97 million followers on Twitter to help relief efforts, writing: 'Praying for everyone in Houston. Please help anyway you can #HurricaineHarvey #TexasFlood'.



It has just been announced that Reese will appear on the sixth and final season of Hulu's The Mindy Project. 

Mindy Kaling shared a photo from the set with she and Reese trapped in a cave.

She wrote along with the pic: 'Our special guest star on #themindyproject is the only woman I want to be stuck in a cave with.'
