Revenge may be a dish best served cold...but if it were a bath then a tub filled with diamonds would certainly be the best way to go about it.

And that's exactly what Taylor Swift did.  The diamonds that filled up Swift's bath for her new video, Look What You Made Me Do, are worth more than $10 million, an insider told Page Six on Tuesday.

The extravagant array of jewels were provided by jeweler-to-the-stars Neil Lane, the insider said, adding that an 'insane' level of security was implemented for the high-profile video shoot.



Among the authentic treasures showcased in the clip include a snake-themed ring the songstress wore, which looks similar to one actress Zoe Saldana sported at the Academy Awards four years ago.

The music video, which debuted Sunday on the heels of the MTV Video Music Awards, has created buzz around the singer amid whispers that the decadent display of diamonds was sneaky shade on her pop culture arch-rivals, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

The bathtub scene, many viewers on social media speculated, was a nod to the robbery Kim Kardashian was a victim of last October in Paris, with many priceless jewels swiped in the gunpoint heist. The reality star was subsequently tied up and left in a bathtub by the robbers.

In the Joseph Kahn-directed music clip, Swift sings the lyrics, 'I don't like your perfect crime/ How you laugh when you lie/ You said the gun was mine/ Isn't cool, no, I don't like you.'



While the Grammy-winning beauty has kept mum on the intrinsic message in the sequence of the video, she has liked many theories Tumblr users have posted in response to the fancy clip.

Amid the same sequence, there's a shot of a solitary dollar bill, possibly representing the nominal sum Taylor won in her lawsuit earlier this month against radio personality David Mueller, claiming he inappropriately grabbed her rear end during a promotional appearance ahead of one of her shows at Denver's Pepsi Center in 2013.



The hubbub swirling around the clip has only enhanced its popularity, as it debuted to multiple record-setting feats. Look What You Made Me Do set a new record on Spotify, where its premiere on Friday racked up an astonishing 10,129,087, the most ever in a day, according to the BBC.

In its first 24 hours of release on YouTube, it got 43.2 million views, beating Psy's 2013 follow-up to Gangnam Style, Gentleman, which had 36 million views, USA Today reported.

Another YouTube record to fall was the clip containing the lyrics for the song, as it garnered more than 19 million in its first 24 hours out, shattering the previous record held from The Chainsmokers and Coldplay's Something Just Like This, the BBC reported.

Look What You Made Me Do is the lead single from Taylor's upcoming album Reputation, which is slated for release November 10.
