'I love Justin':Floyd Mayweather is kind about Bieber amdist feud rumors



Justin Bieber and Floyd Mayweather shared an unlikely friendship, becoming nearly inseparable after first linking up in 2012.

But as the pop singer, 23, has been reevaluating his life and attending church regularly, he is said to have cut ties with the championship boxer, even unfollowing him on Instagram which reportedly caused Mayweather to 'go nuclear,' according to a recent TMZ report.

In a new interview, Floyd, 40, had nothing but nice things to say about Justin despite their cold front.



'Justin Bieber is at a point…he’s in a place right now…he’s focused. He’s focused on church. He’s focused on his new team. He’s focused on the lord and only thing I can do is give him the utmost respect,' he explained.

In what could be interpreted as a slight jab at his former friend, Floyd maintained that his focus is on his Saturday night fight: 'My beef is with Conor McGregor. My beef is not with somebody that’s a pop star.'



They first became close when Bieber was an invited guest to one of Mayweather's 2012 matches at request of Floyd's daughter Iyanna.

Soon after, Bieber was ringside at nearly all of the boxer's gigs as they developed a tight friendship.

They uploaded videos with each other, getting spa treatments across from each other in one clip and Mayweather acting as Bieber's boxing coach in another.



But the pop-star has lately been spending much of his time with Pastor Carl Lentz of Hillsong Church, and is said to be getting counseling about reducing 'bad influences' in his life, according to TMZ.

Bieber is affiliated with the New York City branch of Hillsong, which is run by Lentz - who is described by many as a rock-star pastor for his atypical attire for preacher.

It's unclear whether the church's wholesome influence led to the Instagram unfollow against Mayweather, but the fighter is a notorious strip-club enthusiast.
