She's made a name for herself as one of Hollywood's polished stars, who has often embraced a notably demure sense of style in comparison to her celebrity cohorts.

But Selena Gomez went into full bombshell mode on Friday, as she ramped up the glamour with a wet look bob and impeccably-applied makeup for a shoot in images that were shared on Instagram by her makeup artist Hung Vanngo.

And when the stunning shots of the 25-year-old were uploaded to the photo-sharing app, her singer boyfriend The Weeknd was one of the first to hit the 'like' button, showing his clear approval of her bombshell look.



In the first snapshot, the It Ain't Me singer is seen wearing bold touches of makeup, including pillar box red lipstick, as she poses in a white satin robe.

Rocking a pair of chunky metallic statement earrings, the raven-haired beauty displayed a silver pedicure in the snap, which makeup artist Hung captioned: '“#notsosecretproject @selenagomez.'

Hung later returned to Instagram to post another shot of the star sitting before a mirror while taking a selfie as a glam squad worked away on her.



While riding high on a wave of success in her professional life, things are also looking pretty peachy for Selena in her personal life.

She has been dating The Weeknd since the beginning of the year, they were first snapped kissing outside Santa Monica, California's Giorgio Baldi restaurant.

Weeks after going public with their relationship, the duo enjoyed a whirlwind trip to Italy together.

The talented artists also flaunted their love at this year's Met Gala in New York City. The exclusive event, held in May, served as the couple's red carpet debut.



Earlier this month Selena opened up to InStyle magazine about being in a healthy relationship with The Weeknd whereas in the past - her ex is Justin Bieber - her romances have left her feeling 'insecure.'

'I don’t depend on one area of my life to make me happy. It’s really important for me to love and nourish my friends and family and to make sure that I never get influenced by a guy,'
