Liam Payne calls Cheryl 'superwoman'



They welcomed their son Bear into the world just five months ago.

And Liam Payne, 24, has praised just how quickly Cheryl, 34, snapped back into shape after 'working really hard' to tone up.

Speaking to MailOnline at the VOXI launch event on Thursday, the One Direction star dubbed the former Girls Aloud singer 'superwoman' and admitted she sometimes jokingly tells him off for revealing too much about their family life.



Liam admitted that he will go home after an interview and be chastised by Cheryl for opening up too much.

'She'll rib me asking "What did you say that for?" But I can't help it, I'm just really happy at the moment,' he said laughing.

Gushing about Bear, he added: 'He's like a tiny little Michelin man! Today he had some Air Max on and he was trying to walk in the kitchen. Every day there's something new and he gets more and more fun.'



Liam proudly added that their tot seemed to already be following in his parent's musical footsteps, revealing: 'He's got some lungs on him, he gets that from both of us.

'He's my best friend, we're just having an amazing time and every time I get to spend with him is better.



'And he's a great sleeper. I literally was just Facetiming him and he just woke up scratching his tummy like "Hey there's my rents!" and the whole Facetime he was like "why is my dad's head in the screen?".'

The singer also revealed that Cherl thoughtfully flew out his parents and old schoolfriends to Mallorca to celebrate his 24th birthday.

'It was amazing, there were multiple surprises throughout the day. We got away for for a little holiday and she had flown all my old school friends out that I literally hadn't seen for a year, so it was amazing to spend time with them,' he said.

'And then on my actual birthday, she flew my parents out and they spent a bit of time with me. It was really nice for my mum and dad, we were out in Mallorca, it was lovely.'

The new dad confessed that he and Cheryl aren't 'the sunbathing type' and instead explored Mallorca with a romantic boat trip. 



'We had a really good time. Me and Cheryl aren't really the sunbathing type but it was really nice. I think when you're away you talk about a lot of different things,' he revealed.

'I ended up spending a lot of time with my son, which was great. He's growing into a humongous child, he's like half the size of his Nan now which is hilarious!

'We had a great time, we went round Mallorca on a boat for a day, it was really fun. You get to think about things and the next year going forward we're excited for what's coming.'

Meanwhile Liam is enjoying every single moment of fatherhood, as made clear when he shared a duo of snaps of his son Bear's hand holding his, to ring in his 24th birthday on Tuesday.

The sweet snap comes just days after his girlfriend Cheryl, 34, has unveiled her incredible post baby body on Instagram - as she stretched out on a yacht while revealing her rock-hard six pack stomach.

Shortly before his birthday, Cheryl and Liam cuddled up for a plethora of smitten selfies while on board a boat recently.



Cheryl included a racy shot of herself reclining on the boat as it sped along the sea in her beach attire that paired together a printed coral red and white jumpsuit and a scanty bikini underneath.

As she posed with he hands in her hair, the former X Factor judge flaunted her incredible post-baby figure, as her barely-there swimwear left her incredibly toned stomach on display.

Cheryl and Liam stole a moment away from their parenting duties to indulge in some quality time together, with the former X Factor judge beaming from ear-to-ear as she nestled into her beau.

Taking a boat trip, Cheryl appeared to forgo her make-up - accentuating her natural beauty and flawless complexion - as she relaxed on board.

The starlet appeared windswept in one sultry shot of herself and Liam, as her long locks fell across her face, while she posed alongside the shirtless One Direction star.



Stealing a look at his muscular frame, Liam donned a silver chain around his neck and large aviator style shades while resting a hand on the head of his girlfriend.

The duo gave fans a glimpse into their close relationship as they playfully messed around with a number of fun-loving filters - including one that saw the couple sport glasses and another that contained a slew of pink love hearts.

While Cheryl and Liam have been living it up on holiday, his former bandmate Niall Horan has been blazing the promo trail with his solo music as he appeared in his native Ireland to perform on The Eoghan McDermott Show on Wednesday.

Cheryl's new photos are just the latest in a string of selfies of herself and Liam, as he sent fans into a stir sharing one photo of the pair to his own Instagram page recently.
