McGregor Mayweather Conor McGregor confirms he'll weigh nearly 170lbs in Mayweather fight



The UFC’s lightweight champion weighed in at 153lbs at Friday’s weigh-in at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, dismissing claims he’d fail to make the 154lbs super welterweight limit.



And after a full day to rehydrate himself, the Notorious has put back on a significant amount of water weight back on for his pro-boxing debut.



“I didn’t check,” the Irishman told Showtime. “But I would say close to 170lbs.”



McGregor, the first fighter in UFC history to hold two title simultaneously, then went on to explain why he’s so confident of shocking the world and handing Mayweather his first professional loss.



“I do not care about his record or achievements. A fight is a fight,” he added, “When we get in there, it’s man versus man. And you’re only as good as your last one.



“Add to that, my hard work, my focus, my dedication I put in this camp, that’s where I get my confidence from.”



McGregor exuded confidence as he sat and had his hands wrapped and reiterated his belief that he will KO 49-0 Mayweather.



“I’m going to go out there and be myself. Free, spontaneous, creative and paint a beautiful picture,” he continued.



“I see me truly outclassing this man and putting him to sleep.”



He added: “I still feel inside one I will have the choice to let him out there. But I may stretch it for a little longer.”
