Doria Ragland debuts new hair and heels ahead of Royal wedding



It was her first official appearance as the mother of the bride.



And Doria Ragland debuted a dramatic new look tonight as she arrived at Cliveden House Hotel with her daughter Meghan Markle tonight.



The yoga instructor and social worker, who wore her hair tied back as she jetted out of Los Angeles earlier this week, appeared to have styled her hair into soft twists, tied back with a silk scarf.



Swapping her uniform of yoga pants and trainers for a smart, champagne-coloured dress and black cropped blazer, the proud mother, who is believed to have met the Queen today, gave onlookers are regal wave.



Her daughter, who will be walked up the aisle tomorrow by the Prince of Wales, wore a £1,450 navy dress from Roland Mouret. 

Doria was picked up at her home in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon before heading to the airport.



She was then spotted going through a private entrance at Los Angeles International where she will enjoy VIP treatment before boarding her flight to the UK.





The 61-year-old's departure for London came just hours before her ex-husband, Thomas Markle, confirmed he would not be attending the ceremony at Windsor Castle on Saturday.



She was carrying a Burberry garment bag, which likely contained an outfit she will wear during the wedding celebrations this weekend.



Should Burberry her chosen designer for the main event, it will be a fitting option; not only is Burberry a British brand, it is also one that Doria has shown herself to be a fan of in the past.



The mother of the bride opted for a Burberry design when she made her first public outing with Meghan and Prince Harry, at the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games in Canada in September 2017.



Tonight, Doria will be spending time with Meghan before travelling with her to St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on the day.



The five star mansion, near the village of Teplow on the border of Buckinghamshire and Berkshire is roughly 15 minutes away by car to the wedding venue. It has been chosen for its secluded location and privacy.





Doria has been keeping a low profile over recent weeks in the run up to Saturday's nuptials, and has been photographed out and about near her home in Los Angeles.



The yoga instructor and social worker has been described by Meghan as a 'free spirited clinical therapist' and she has been seen alongside Meghan at a number of public events.



Prince Harry, who has described her as 'amazing' flew Doria out to Toronto to join Meghan and himself at the Invictus Games last year.



Royal experts said at the time that Harry’s decision to invite Meghan’s mum to join them at the closing ceremony of his Invictus Games was 'hugely significant.'
