Team of florists getting the church wedding ready with stunning floral arrangements

Meghan Markle will glide under a stunning canopy of snow-white flowers as Prince Charles walks her down the aisle to her waiting husband today.

A team of florists were last night applying the finishing touches to an mesmerizing floral arch outside St George's Chapel in Windsor.

Pictures show workers busily scrambling up ladders as they tend to the arch, while colleagues darted to and from between huge boxes of flowers

Today, Meghan will be welcomed into the Royal Family surrounded by white garden roses, peonies and foxgloves, with branches of beech, birch and hornbeam.

The floral array has been carefully crafted by Fulham-based floral designer - and the preferred supplier to Kensington Palace - Philippa Craddock.

It was revealed in March that Ms Craddock had been hand-picked by the couple to deck out Windsor in stunning blooms for their nuptials today.

Described by Tatler as 'a floral mastermind', she claims to be able to create any bride's dream from 'a secret garden in a palace' to 'an outdoor botanical romance'.

But while floral arches by and large sell for around £500 for the average wedding, it is likely the royal couple's cost in excess of £1,500.

Steeped in history, the 15th century gothic chapel offers Harry and Meghan a slightly more intimate venue for their wedding, but one that is still appropriately grand

It usually holds around 800 guests, compared with the 2,000 capacity of Westminster Abbey, where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge married in 2011.

With the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh in their nineties, the choice will be especially convenient for Harry's grandparents, who spend a great deal of time at home in the castle.

Located within the castle's grounds and surrounded by the Horseshoe Cloisters and the Henry VIII gate, the venue will also provide the royal family with a certain amount of privacy on the day of the wedding.

Harry was also christened in the chapel in December 1984, when he was three months old, which, according to Church of England rules, means he can also marry there.

The chapel, with its intricately carved stonework, magnificent fan vaulted ceiling and beautiful stained glass windows, has seen many royal weddings and funerals.

Royal newlyweds and their families traditionally pose for photographs afterwards on the vast west steps, as Harry and his new bride are certain to do.
