The day is all about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, but it seems as though the happy atmosphere ahead of the royal wedding has rubbed off on the bride's close friend Serena Williams.



The 36-year-old tennis pro was seen laughing happily as she arrived at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle for the wedding, along with her husband Alexis Ohanian, 35.



Wearing a dusty pink dress, along with a matching fascinator, Serena made a chic arrival at the ceremony, where she put on a happy and relaxed display for the waiting crowds and photographers, laughing uproariously as she and Alexis made their way into the chapel ahead of the start of the service.





The mother-of-one shared several snaps of her ensemble on her Instagram account before heading off to the chapel for the ceremony, posing solo at first in the pale pink dress, which flattered her figure perfectly, emphasizing her curves and her slim waist.



She paired the dress with a pair of matching pale pink shoes, that had a pointed toe and a chunky heel, no doubt making for a more comfortable stroll down the path to the chapel.



The cherry on top of her stylish look was an elegant fascinator in the same pale pink shade, and a large chunky necklace from Bulgari's heritage collection.



According to a spokesperson for the brand, the lavish piece featured Roman Imperial silver, gold, and bronze coins, as well as pave diamonds.



The ancient coins are over 2,000 years old, dating all the way back to the 1st century AD. 





To finish off her look, Serena wore her hair in long braids that were gathered over one shoulder.



After posing for a couple of pictures by herself, Serena also made sure to snap a photo with her husband, who looked dapper in a traditional morning suit, and a pale blue tie. 





The couple were then captured in a sweet candid with their daughter, who could be seen giggling happily as her father 'flew' her through the air.



'Seeing us off. Flying baby style!' Serena joked in the caption. 



Earlier in the day, the multi-grand slam winner gave her Instagram followers a sneak peek at her wedding day preparations, posting several images and videos on her account that showed every aspect of her beauty routine, as well as tender moments between the happy couple and their eight-month-old daughter Alexis.



At first, the mother-of-one played coy about her involvement in the wedding, sharing an image of herself on social media while make-up free and wrapped in a towel, captioning it: 'Follow my IG stories today to see me getting ready for my friends wedding #beingserena #freshface.



And staying true to her word, Serena went on to keep fans updated on her Instagram stories as she started to get ready for the big day.



In the first clip, she said: 'Hey y'all, so my friend's getting married today. I'm up super early, well, for me. 



In the next video, Serena was joined by her Reddit co-founder husband and baby Alexis.



The sports star remained coy about whether the youngster would be joining her as she teased: 'Are you coming with mama today? What are you wearing today, honey?'



Serena then shared several updates of herself wearing a facemask and then getting her make-up professionally applied for the big day.



The confirmation came after the mother-of-one was spotted leaving Nice, France, on Friday afternoon.



Serena has been training for the French Open, which starts on May 27, at her tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou’s academy that is based 15 minutes away from the city's Airport.





Serena's confirmation comes amid reports that she was set to attend the Royal Wedding after she pulled out of the Italian Open in Rome last week, which left her available to attend the big day.



While only recently, the mother-of-one fulled even more rumours about whether she would be attending during an interview with Good Morning America.



When asked whether she would be going, she teased: 'I don't know, I think it's during one of the tournaments. We'll see if I can make it.'



She jokingly added: 'Don't be asking me those questions.'

Serena tied the know to her Reddit co-founder husband, Alexis, in a star-studded ceremony in New Orleans last Novemeber, just two months after welcoming their first daughter, Alexis, eight months, in September.





Yet it was revealed on Thursday, and in scenes which will air on the third episode of Being Serena on Wednesday, that the sports star received a text from her father Richard saying that he could not attend the wedding - just one hour before he was set to walk her down the aisle.



In the moment, she did not get angry or start feeling sad for herself, choosing instead to comfort her dad.
