Meghan reduced an emotional Harry to tears as she entered St George's Chapel

Prince Harry was yesterday reduced to tears by the sight of his bride-to-be Meghan Markle entering St George's Chapel dressed all in white.

Meghan arrived with two page boys who held up her long train as she walked up the steps.

When she appeared through the doors of the chapel, sunlight streaming in behind her, she turned to smile and wave at the children who were standing to her right

It was at this moment that the prince first appeared overcome with the enormity of what he was about to do. 

His princess' sparkling tiara dazzled in the light of the chapel.

Confronted by his veiled bride-to-be Harry became visibly emotional - but was able to hold back tears until he arrived at the altar.

Then, unable to maintain composure he reached to wipe away a tear, or two. 

You could hear a pin drop as the 600 guests watched the British prince and American star say 'I do' in the historic surroundings of the chapel at Windsor Castle

On the steps of the chapel Meghan asked her new husband discreetly: 'Do we kiss?' and Harry whispered 'yeah' before passionately planting one on her lips.

Outside St George's Chapel, more than 100,000 fevered well-wishers gathered in glorious British sunshine and cheered the couple as they started their new married life in the grand Ascot Landau carriage.

Meghan waved and smiled to the crowds and said 'wow' to her new husband.

Drained from the raw emotion of it all, in his inimitable style, he said back: 'I'm ready for a drink now'.
