Royal Wedding Meghan Markle pays tribute to Princess Diana



Meghan Markle paid a touching tribute to Prince Harry's late mother Princess Diana by wearing one of her rings at their evening party at Frogmore House.



The new Duchess of Sussex wore the ring on her right hand as the pair travelled in a silver blue Jaguar E-Type Concept Zero to the English country house.



Ms Markle paired the emerald-cut accessory with a white halterneck evening gown by Stella McCartney - the designer who had been tipped to create her wedding dress.



Princess Diana wrote a special 'letter of wishes' in which she promised her jewellery to her sons with the intention of them sharing it with their future wives.



According to the Sun, she wrote: 'I would like you to allocate all my jewellery to the share to be held by my sons, so that their wives may, in due course, have it or use it.



'I leave the exact division of the jewellery to your discretion.'



It is unclear if Prince Harry gave the ring to Ms Markle as a gift or if it was both 'something borrowed' and 'something blue' for the ceremony.



The Princess of Wales first wore the stunning ring in 1996 during a trip to Australia.



The ring is not the first time Ms Markle has wore something previously belonging to Diana - her engagement ring has two diamonds from her late mother-in-law's private collection.



Ms Markle's engagement ring includes one stone from Botswana, where the couple holidayed, and was personally designed by Prince Harry himself.
