The Queen hosts a star studded wedding breakfast at Windsor Castle

Sir Elton John gave a 'mini-concert' at a wedding breakfast in Windsor Castle where Prince Harry's speech about Meghan moved people to tears, a guest said.

Charity boss Suhani Jalota described speeches by the Prince of Wales and Harry as 'lovely', saying the groom and his best man had made everybody feel 'loved'.

She said: 'Essentially it was just about how Harry was as a child and growing up. And now just about the couple and how beautiful they are together. So I think it was just about their personalities and how they gel really well together.'

'He was talking about his wife and you know everybody was clapping because it was the first time he was using that term for Meghan so it was really nice.'

Up to 600 guests were invited to the wedding breakfast hosted by the Queen in St George's Hall.

Lucky diners quaffed on Scottish salmon, Windsor lamb, quail eggs and langoustine canapes, washed down with vintage champagne.

Prince Harry surprised guests at his lunchtime reception by asking 'does anyone here know how to play the piano?' - before Sir Elton John got up and played.

Jalota, the founder of the Indian Myna Mahila charity, said: 'He was incredible. It became like a mini-concert in the reception area. It was great.'

The star serenaded 600 guests with four of his tunes including 'Your Song', 'Tiny Dancer', 'Circle of Life' and 'I'm Still Standing'.

The 71-year-old was in attendance at Windsor Castle’s St George’s Chapel earlier with his husband David Furnish to watch as the royal bridegroom wed his American love.

He was spotted in the chapel ahead of the service chatting with fellow celebrities including David and Victoria Beckham.

Sir Elton has a close relationship with Harry and his brother, the Duke of Cambridge, and was friends with their mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.

In 1997, he famously sang a re-worked version of his hit Candle In The Wind at the princess’s funeral, changing the words to Goodbye England’s Rose.

Approximately 7,500 items of food were prepared by a team of 25 chefs, led by Royal Chef Mark Flanagan, for today’s reception.

Guests including the likes of the Beckhams, Clooneys and Tindalls enjoyed canapes and trendy bowl food which will allow people to mingle with one another.

The lucky guests were served a selection of canapés, including:

Scottish Langoustines wrapped in Smoked Salmon with Citrus Crème Fraiche
Grilled English Asparagus wrapped in Cumbrian Ham
Garden Pea Panna Cotta with Quail Eggs and Lemon Verbena
Heritage Tomato and Basil Tartare with Balsamic Pearls
Poached Free Range Chicken bound in a Lightly Spiced Yoghurt with Roasted Apricot
Croquette of Confit Windsor Lamb, Roasted Vegetables and Shallot Jam
Warm Asparagus Spears with Mozzarella and Sun-Blush Tomatoes
They were followed by a trendy 'bowl food' course. This style of eating encourages guests to tuck in while standing.

There were:

Fricassee of Free Range Chicken with Morel Mushrooms and Young Leeks
Pea and Mint Risotto with Pea Shoots, Truffle Oil and Parmesan Crisps
Ten Hour Slow Roasted Windsor Pork Belly with Apple Compote and Crackling
Then afterwards, sweet canapés were also served, including:

Champagne and Pistachio Macaroons
Orange Crème Brûlée Tartlets
Miniature Rhubarb Crumble Tartlets
Guests washed down their food with Pol Roger Brut Réserve Non Vintage Champagne, and a selection of wines.

A range of soft drinks will also be served, including an apple and elderflower mocktail, made with the same elderflower syrup as used in the edding cake, and Sandringham Cox's apple juice.
