Holly Willoughby fans defend her decision to wear her wedding dress
She revealed on This Morning that she was planning to watch the Royal Wedding in her own wedding dress as she celebrated her sister Kelly's 40th and mum Lynne's 70th birthdays.
And Holly Willoughby, 37, stayed true to her word as she followed the party's dress code and showed off her trim figure in the exact bridal gown that she tied the knot in to producer Dan Baldwin in 2007.
Yet the television presenter's decision to do so inevitably divided her fans, with some heaping compliments on the mother-of-three and others accusing her of 'stealing the limelight' from Meghan Markle.
During the event, Holly kept her 3.6 million Instagram followers updated over the fun celebrations as she shared three separate photos of herself in the white wedding dress.
In the first picture, the Dancing On Ice host shared a picture of herself with her sister Kelly and mum Lynne all standing in their white bridal gowns.
She jokingly captioned the picture with: 'So it’s the Royal wedding, my sisters 40th and my mums 70th birthday party at the Willoughby residence today!!!! ... I blame you @ladywilloughby for the dress code!!!! #whynot #happiness #love,' followed by love emojis. (sic)
In the next picture, Holly uploaded a snap of herself wearing her bridal gown holding a glass of Champagne, posing in front of a TV screen with Meghan on it during the Royal Wedding ceremony.
She captioned it with: 'She is soooooo beautiful... just a wedding day of dreams.... congratulations to Meghan and Harry xxxx,' followed with heart emojis.
And Holly's final post was a Boomerang of herself twirling around in her white wedding dress while waving a Union Jack flag, she added a champagne and sparkle emoji to it.
Yet the updates appeared to anger some followers who cruelly lashed out at the television star in the comments section.
One person said: 'I know it was your sis and mums birthday however Why?? It just makes you look like your trying to upstage Meghan Big mistake Huge.'
A different account put: 'Sorry Holly but it’s not about you.'
While another fan added: 'Not your day honey!'
Yet luckily Holly's loyal fans were quick to leap to her defence as well as heap compliments on the television presenter.
One person said: 'Stunning Holly! Brilliantly fun dress code - ignore the haters! X.'

Meanwhile, Holly wasn't the only celebrity to wear a white bridal gown during the Royal Wedding on Saturday as she was joined by a slew of stars.
Vicky Pattison wore a stunning bridal gown for a social media snap in honour of the occasion, and the Newcastle-born beauty was also looking ahead to her own wedding to John Noble next year.
She captioned the post: 'The day has finally arrrrrrived!!! It's the Royal Wedding!!! Eeeeekkkkk!!! I'm so happy for Megs and Hazza I could burst!! Got me feeling mega excited for my impending nuptials to @johnnoblejn too!!
