Meghan Markle shows off in veil free wedding photo with Prince Harry

In the joyful moments that immediately followed her wedding, Meghan Markle let her hair down—literally—to take photos with her new husband, Prince Harry.

Meghan, 36, and Harry, 33, posed for pictures at Windsor Castle after the carriage procession that followed their wedding ceremony at St. George's Chapel on Saturday.

Kensington Palace released three of the snaps on Twitter on Monday. Two of them see Harry and Meghan posing next to their relatives, including their bridesmaids and page boys, while one of the photos features solely the smitten couple.

The bride adopted a different look for each setting. As she and Harry posed with the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, his wife Camilla, Meghan's mother Doria Ragland, Prince William, and Kate Middleton, she kept her long veil on and her hair safely tucked into an elegant chignon.

Meghan also donned her tiara as she and Harry stood among their relatives, with Princess Charlotte on Kate's lap and the rest of the bridesmaids and page boys sitting on each side of the frame.

She appeared to have gotten camera-ready between the ceremony and the photo session, and wore more visible make-up, especially around her eyes, while her dress appeared impeccably steamed.

Harry and Meghan also posed with just their 10 bridesmaids and page boys, with Meghan once again keeping her cathedral-length veil and neat low bun on for those snaps.

But when time came to pose for Harry, Meghan showed just how versatile her 'do could be, and opted for a slightly more relaxed look.

The Duchess of Sussex removed her veil and let a few strands of hair come out of her low bun to frame her face, revealing the discreet earrings she wore on the big day.

In the shot posted by the Palace, Meghan can be seen smiling radiantly at her husband, who himself is beaming straight into the camera, with his right hand resting on her arm.

Meghan has worn 'messy buns' during various public events in the past, and the 'do has become closely associated with her personal style, with many praising it as an effortlessly chic look.

She wore her hair in a low bun with a few loose strands of hair during her visit to the radio station Reprezent in London in January this year, and again while touring Cardiff, Wales, with Harry a few days later.

Meghan wore the hairstyle again in March while visiting Belfast in Northern Ireland, and in April during a reception in London.

All three shots see Meghan clutching her bouquet, which included Forget-Me-Nots in a touching homage to the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

The photos were taken by photographer Alexi Lubomirski. Harry, Meghan and their relatives posed in Windsor Castle's Green Drawing Room for the family snaps, while the couple shot was taken outside on the East Terrace.

'The Duke and Duchess would like to thank everyone who took part in the celebrations of their wedding,' the Palace wrote on Twitter on Monday while sharing the images.

'They feel so lucky to have been able to share their day with all those gathered in Windsor and those who watched on television across the UK, Commonwealth, and around the world.'

Shortly after Meghan debuted her wedding 'do, royal fans defended her 'gorgeous' hairstyle, while some others criticized it for coming 'undone' during the ceremony

The comments came as the new Duchess of Sussex's hairdresser Serge Normant, who is based in New York, revealed it took him just 45 minutes to style her hair on Saturday—using grips you can pick up in the supermarket for only a few dollars.

Describing how long it took him to style Meghan's hair, the French-born hairstylist, 52, explained: 'You know not that long, believe it or not.

'We had to blow dry it from wet, I would say 45 minutes to an hour. Then they did the make-up and then you fiddle around with it a little bit. But it's not that long.

'I always tend to try and go as fast as I can at these events. Nobody wants to sit around.'

The hairdresser described the look as a 'messy bun', a reference to the style that Meghan has frequently sported in the past.

'It's a messy bun, we call it. Messy in a controlled way,' he said. 'Making sure it doesn't become a whole mess after a few hours! I don't overload the hair with products in general and certainly not on this day.'

However, not everyone was impressed with Meghan's hair at her wedding ceremony, with some describing it as 'unruly'.

One Twitter user wrote: 'Who did Meghan's hair?? Those strands are annoying her. YOU HAD ONE JOB.'

Another added: 'Meghan Markle's hair is coming undone and I want to jump into the TV screen and fix it. I can't focus on anything else'
