Meghan Markle was photobombed by excitable pageboy at royal wedding



It was Meghan's big moment, but one of her adorable page boys threatened to temporarily steal her thunder when he accidentally photobombed her as she arrived at the door of St George's Chapel on her wedding day.



Seven-year-old John Mulroney, who was given a starring role at the royal wedding along with his twin brother Brian and their little sister Ivy, flashed a gap-toothed grin as he popped up on screen behind the radiant bride.



With the eyes of the world on Windsor Castle, the adorable pageboy clearly couldn't contain his excitement, taking a deep breath as he prepared to head down the aisle at St George's Chapel. 





The Mulroney twins and their little sister - whose mother is Meghan's best friend Jessica Mulroney, and father is Ben Mulroney, son of the former Canadian prime minister Brian - were among 10 page boys and flower girls supporting Meghan on her big day.



Also given special roles were the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's two eldest children, Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, three and Prince Harry's godson Jasper Dyer, six, and goddaughters Florence Van Custem, three, and Zalie Warren, two.





Completing the set are Remi and Rylan Litt, aged six and seven respectively, who are the daughters of one of Miss Markle’s oldest (and most discreet) friends, Benita Litt, and are also Meghan’s goddaughters. 



The six little girls, including three-year-old Princess Charlotte, were dressed in all white and had flowers adorning their hair as they giggled and walked behind the beaming bride. 



The page boys were smart in mini morning suits.



The Duchess of Cambridge, dressed in lemon yellow Alexander McQueen, helped to escort the ten children into Windsor Castle, after the excited crew pulled up in a vintage Rolls Royce, waving to the crowds.



When Kensington Palace revealed details of the young bridal party, it became clear that the bride was determined to include her close circle of friends in her special day - by giving some of her best friends' children key roles.



It is a far cry from the last royal wedding in 2011 - when Kate married William, she was not accompanied by any children from her own side of the aisle. 



Her young bridal party included the offspring of an Earl and Princess Margaret's granddaughter, while the children of a glossy celebrity stylist and an LA handbag designer were among the adorable crew seen clambering up the steps of St George's Chapel today.

The fraternal twin sons of Jessica and Ben Mulroney are seven years old - and older siblings to Ivy Mulroney.



In an interview with thestar.com in 2014, Mrs Mulroney described how the boys were best friends.



'Ben was at the MMVAs (iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards) and John did something really sweet,' she said. 'He hugged Brian from behind and said, 'Brian, you make me great'. '



The article described the children, who had two nannies, as 'incredibly well-behaved'.
