It was undoubtedly the most shocking ending in Academy Awards history.

But Chrissy Teigen probably missed it since she slept through most of the ceremony.

The 31-year-old was spotted by camera fast asleep TWICE on Sunday night.





It was during the climax of the show, when most audience members are on the edge of their seat as the big awards are handed out.

Casey Affleck had just been named Best Actor for Manchester By The Sea; he was halfway through his acceptance speech when the camera cut to proud producer Matt Damon.

But two rows back, the unmistakable head of the model was propped up against husband John Legend's shoulder.



The wise hubby obviously knew never to wake a sleeping mama bear, because when the camera cut back to the crowd five mins later, she was still out cold.

As the Best Actress nominees were being listed, the camera picked out legendary Meryl Streep for a record twentieth time.

And right over her right shoulder, the Sports Illustrated star could be once again spied blissfully counting sheep.



To be far to the model, her main reason for being there - to see Legend perform the La La Land medley of City Of Stars and Audition (The Fools Who Dream) had already come and gone, the former even netting the Oscar for Best Original Song.

On top of that, Chrissy is a relatively new mom to ten-month-old Luna.

Even on the red carpet before the event, the Lip Sync Battle host had her eyes on that pillow, as she tested John's shoulder with her noggin even while posing for photographers.



She looked stunning in a white Zuhair Murad floor-length gown with a thigh-high split.

Not visible was the nasty burn she managed to give herself on her leg, after documenting the cover-up job the hours beforehand on Snapchat.

Later Chrissy posted another snap of her sleeping backstage on another shoulder — this time belonging to Jimmy Kimmel's sidekick Guillermo.
