Hailee Steinfeld recently admitted that she grew up wearing flip flops and jeans but she clearly brought out the glam for Hollywood's biggest night.

The 20-year-old True Grit star made sure to turn heads as she hit the red carpet at the 89th Annual Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The actress, singer and model stunned in a sheer pink floral gown by Ralph & Russo which gave a glimpse of her enviable figure beneath.



The previously Oscar-nominated actress donned the romantic dress which cinched at the waist, further highlighting her svelte physique.



Hailee's feminine frock included a halter-style ruffled neckline and long flowing train which also flashed her pert derriere.

A pair of simple diamond stud earrings, chunky diamond bracelet and cocktail ring by Neil Lane rounded out the Edge Of Seventeen starlet's ensemble.



She opted for a dramatic smokey eye with touch of black liner with rosy blush and pale pink glossy lip.

Her silky chestnut tresses were swept back into a chic updo and allowed her exquisite facial features to take center stage.

The 89th Annual Academy Awards will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and airs on ABC.



Meanwhile, the actress, who made a successful foray into music this year with hit single Love Myself, recently revealed that she is a fan of laid back style.

'My closet is all light colours, airy, flowy and relaxed shapes, whether they're dresses, denim shorts, or T-shirts,' she told Vogue.

'I live in T-shirts! Anything that’s easy to put together and not an ensemble that consists of a bunch of complicated components.'



But Hailee has learnt to appreciate the art of red carpet dressing.

'Fashion has become such a huge part of my personal life and my work,' she said.

'It’s amazing to see how many people it takes to really pull off something in fashion. There are so many people that are so committed and so passionate.'
