Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer is up for her second award at this year's Oscars ceremony.

And on Sunday, the 44-year-old actress cut a chic figure in a custom made dove grey Marchesa gown.



She looked ever-elegant in dress's silk off the shoulder bodice which was paired with a flowing skirt adorned with glittering beads and ostrich feathers.



The Alabama born talent topped off her look with an asymmetrical bob complimented by simple diamond drop earrings.

On the red carpet, the star was greeted by many show business pals.



She posed with Salma Hayek and Laura Dern, who both stunned in dazzling black dresses, while also making time to share a smooch with the handsome Michael Strahan.



Octavia is nominated for her second Academy Award today.

She was previously honored with a Best Supporting Actress award for 2011's The Help.

This year's the Fruitvale Station actress is up for an award in the same category for the role of mathematician Dorothy Vaughan in the historical drama Hidden Figures



The film tells the story of a group of black female mathematicians who worked at NASA during the 1960's space race and until now, were largely overlooked by history.

Taraji P. Henson, Janelle Monáe, Kirsten Dunst and Mahershala Ali also star in the critically acclaimed picture.

Hidden Figures is nominated for three awards, including Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay and Octavia's nomination for Best Supporting actress.
